Who we are
Rhythm with a purpose
NANTA is a Korean percussion performance group bringing the energy, discipline, and spirit of traditional drumming to audiences across our community.
NANTA is an officially chartered school club at Palos Verdes High School, founded in 2023 by Jaden Kim.
Through every rehearsal and performance, we create a place where culture is shared with pride and experienced together. Our work connects generations, introduces new audiences to Korean performing arts, and gives young performers the confidence to grow as artists, teammates, and community leaders.

What our drumming gives back
Our performance archive includes five events in 2026, from cultural celebrations to school and community stages. Every performance is a chance to share Korean percussion and connect with our audiences.
Tradition shared across generations
At Lunar New Year and Korean cultural events, our janggu rhythms connect elders who grew up with these sounds to kids hearing them live for the first time. We perform so the tradition is experienced, not just remembered.

NANTA is powered by performers who bring focus, energy, and cultural pride to every rehearsal and stage.
Founder & President
Jaden Kim
Jaden founded the Palos Verdes High School Nanta Club in 2023 during his freshman year and secured its recognition as an officially chartered school club. Now a senior and the club's president, he brings his interest in Korean culture and creative expression to the ensemble. For Jaden, NANTA is a way to share that heritage, explore rhythm as an art form, and create something together with his teammates.
